Cody Bilson has taken a risk by leaving Seattle and all his friends and exes behind to move to Nashville. He doesn't expect the rookie goalie, Miles Olsen, to immediately take a shine to him and for them to start up a gossip worthy but platonic bromance. Miles is quirky in a way that only goalies are known for being but that doesn't stop Cody from becoming close friends with the young man. When Cody's self imposed celibacy becomes too much, the two strike up an experiment that ends up going so much further than either anticipated. But both carry baggage that keeps things from being simple. Can these bros figure out if there's a future for their bromance turned more? Cody Bilson and Miles Olsen are a loveable pair of idiots and I was immediately taken by them. They both started out experimenting and on the same page but Cody Bilson isn't known for keeping his feelings out of sexual encounters. Miles is so different in that aspect but Cody provides for him something he's never found in female partners before. The two are exploring their sexuality within the safety net of each other which is sweet and steamy. This pair is quirky and I appreciated their antics on and off the ice. Because every day I spend with Bilson is making me more and more sure that he's my person. As with all the puckboy stories we get the Queer Collective coming in with sage wisdom after their plentiful mistakes. Their cameos always make me happy and this book had some quality ones. Cody and Miles face the issue of sexuality while famous and how it will impact so many different aspects of their lives. They are definitely more reserved when it comes to the publicity of their relationship but I felt like that suited them.
