Campfire Audio is inviting music lovers to upgrade their personal head-fi with its Fathom in-ear monitors. Wired trumps wireless when it comes to music fidelity, which is why IEMs are increasingly popular with audiophiles looking to make the most of hi-res music sources.
Designed and assembled in Portland, Oregon, the Fathom IEMs feature an aluminium body, anodised in a fetching black dip, and six custom-made balanced armatures, which we're told deliver a detailed presentation 'with just the right touch of mid-band warmth.'

The configuration includes dual custom high-definition super tweeters for crisp, clear highs, a pair of custom mid-range drivers for accurate vocal reproduction, and dual custom BA woofers for rich, balanced bass.
The machined body is coupled with uniquely prismatic rainbow PVD stainless steel fasteners and MMCX capture; each set is individually a one-of-a-kind colourway, says the brand.
The IEMs are boxed with Time Stream Cables, both a 3.5mm Stereo termination and a balanced 4.4mm terminated cable. The Campfire Audio Fathom is best used with a Digital Audio Player or a smartphone with compatible portable DAC.
They come with a choice of six eartips, for a custom fit. Also included is a Dimensional Folding leather carrying case, hand-made in Portugal. A rainbow PVD carabiner offers additional functionality.
The Campfire Audio Fathom IEMs are available now, priced at £1,049 ($1,049).
