I've been thinking about what to do with Captain Tsubasa Junior Youth Arc. After thinking about writing a quick catch-up post during the week, I didn't have enough time and that's a lot of episodes to cover in one long post. Just going to wait it out and write a longer post when it's over. I'm doing the same with Sand Land because I have a post that is more then halfway complete for it.

Train to the End of the World Episode 4
I love the easy insanity of this show. I mean, this is a show about four girls riding on a train going to Lord who knows where, right? Easy setup for craziness. Good thing it delivers as the goatmen attacking the train, the laughing daikons, the golf balls falling from the sky, the scary roots, and the small town the two girls are stuck in after being attacked like they are Kaiju. Pure and good wtf material. The drama on the inside with Akira affected by the mushroom on her butt brings home how weird and horrible it is because Akira just lost her mind. Then again, even home isn't safe either. I do think the show is a bit too dialogue heavy to let the insanity really be driven home, but it's some really powerful stuff.
Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf Episode 4
Excellent episode as always. The tension really mounts from the personal tales of loneliness in the beginning that connect Holo and Lawrence together from Lawrence being a traveling trader who hopes the deal will get him a store so he can actually get friends and a family to Holo who lives forever and always has been alone. Then the tension really drops when Zharen's people he's working with are after the two which leads the two to running and eventually separating. People encounters on all accords. This show remains being good.
Urusei Yatsura (2022) Season 2 Episode 15
This episode was a blast of all sorts of chaos. I mean, this is the Mendou and Asuka date and Asuka is insanely strong. Her running away from men (mainly Ataru) is getting tiring. Asuka being chained to Ataru and using him as a helicopter is 10/10 stuff. Same with Asuka fighting and losing against her is also interesting. Is nice to see new things on an old formula as Mendou gets his house destroyed.
Delicious in Dungeon Episode 17
This episode was pretty frightening. Liaos and the crew face the consequences of their actions from Shura's group. First is Liaos getting punishment and then Fallin's attack occurs that kills most of Shura's party until they are revived. Plus, the crew gets a new goal to face down the Lunatic Magician to save Fallin once and for all. The most interesting one in this episode is Kabru trying to navigate how to become Liaos' friend and being completely baffled. It's some really heavy but good character building stuff.
Wonderful Precure Episode 13
This episode was another one that had the balance of hilarious in the first half and a bit more drama in the second with a bit more of a lighter tinge then last episode. The first part was simply Satoru, Iroha, and Komugi searching for who could be Cure Nyaami with little to go on and Komugi making it worse by talking in dog form. Second half was the Garugaru encounter where Nyaami protected Mayu and a bit more was figured out and Nyaami. Still some really good stuff even if it's taking it's time.
BARTENDER: Glass of God Episode 4
Another pretty solid episode about the very concept of drinking. The hotel that is trying to recruit Sasakura needed his help to bring in a three star French chef that even wanted to import water from France. It's one simple, defiant drink that helped change the chef's mind. On the other end, we visit the rookie bartender that learned a little about finding her own voice with her drinks. Very interesting things to think about in this episode as more knowledge on drinks is shared.
Laid-back Camp: Season 3 Episode 4
This episode was fun. Though the camp is taking a while, the adventure has been a lot of fun. Ayano and Rin as the Granriders push each other further and further in dangerous adventures. Also, Nadeshiko has a lot of fun meeting people on a train and seeing the Train gattai sequence. This is the episode for the nerds and it owns.
Astro Note Episode 4
This episode was yet another fun one. Mainly focused on the supposed ghost that lives in the Astro Lodge. After some really stupid plans from the cook Takumi about putting soup curry out on the table in the middle of the dark, it actually worked. There was a secret lodger by the name of Aoi who is very shy and had the past lodge past help her. Though it did push Mira's investigation of the lodge a little further by learning that the past owner was from Wid. It's a good time and the relationship dynamics at the lodge are going in such interesting ways.
The Fable Episode 4
This episode went by so fast. Much faster then I expected. Sato/Fable was tested by the Yakuza leader. He did show he was a skilled killer, but wasn't a psychopath that murdered because they wanted to. Then the heart to heart over meat occurred afterwards. On the other end, Yoko showed her sadistic side by drinking the one who asked her out under the table and then forced him to do things drunk under her delight. It was such a good time.
Jellyfish Can't Swim At Night Episode 4
In this episode Mahiru, Kano, Kiui, and Mei met together in real life at Kano's house. The other half of the episode was focused on an idol group we soon learn is ran by Kano's strict mother from Kano's older sister who was drinking after work. There was an argument between the group until the three learn Kano's motivation. It's a pretty cheap and quick episode about this tension delivered through dialogue, but it's awesome that the four of them spent all night making something that actually went viral. It's a good time though not subtle at all again either.
Sound Euphonium Season 3 Episode 4
This episode was the Sunrest festival and it was mainly the prep before hand followed by some bit of drama that happened afterwards. This one was an interesting one because it focused on the family drama between the younger Bass player Motomu and his band director grandfather from the death of the sister and Motomu trying to make it it on his own while also not being good at communicating at all because he's an awkward teen. Another episode that really showed how Kumiko is still her nosy self, but how she doesn't force people to do anything but helps people by nudging them in the right direction.
Kaiju No. 8 Episode 4
The episode was the Japan Defense Force test. It started with Kafka lifting his car back attempting to show off against Kikoru. The rest of the episode is Ichikawa doing alright in the tests, but Kafka completely failing as Kikoru showing how much of an insane prodigy she is. Then the final episode occurs when Kafka psyches himself up to get some power out of his suit after getting injured during the test. We all know the Kaiju power will come up in some way soon too. I really enjoyed this episode quite a bit even if it's something we all expect.
