It also earns a Pink Quill Book Pick badge (click here for more information). An enthralling story of magic and wars, as humans and suriias coexist on Earth with violent consequences. The protagonist, Thorn, has suffered at the hands of the suriias, and is bent on revenge. But when her best friend falls in love with one of the enemy, her whole life changes. With fantastic world building and well-written characters, this was an emotional read that kept me gripped all the way through and I was sad to reach the end. While Thorn could be prickly at times (pun intended!), her growth throughout the book was well thought out and believable. Highly recommend!
