I've read some criticism according California born blues-rocker Eric Sardinas' mediocre abilities to write good songs. I call bullshit on that. Ever since I first heard Sardinas - the album was Devil's Train (2001) - I have been a fan. You don't become fan of mediocre songs, see and Sardinas do have a loyal fanbase. The fact that he and his band is a killer live-act and that he looks cool as eff makes for a package that works. Also, I got to hang with him and his band mates - really by accident - at Sweden Rock a few years ago and the guys turned out to be the sweetest and most down to earth guys you can imagine. That said, the music isn't automatically good because you're nice but it sure is a good addition. Now with album # 7 (plus one E.P.) out - his first in nine years - I had some really high expectations on it.
