After being left on the cliffhanger from Invincible Volume 1, I got the compendium to continue the journey. 47 issues now. There are only 3 compendiums, so minus the bonus stories, I may actually finish this series. The pace picks up and things get more nuanced. The story also spreads out more. You still have the meta jokes commenting on comic books and superheroes, but you also get more fleshed out stories and characters. I won't rush to finish the series, but it's well worth a read.
