Attempted Shoplifting, Breaking Window: 200 Block of West Portal Avenue, March 30, 8:50 p.m.

A witness told officers two juvenile suspects were shoplifting and putting items inside a backpack. An unknown citizen opened the suspects' backpack and emptied the merchandise onto the floor.

The suspects left the store upset and kicked the door on the way out causing the plexiglass to break.

Outstanding Warrants: 1700 Block of Noriega Street, April 2, 11:54 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of a known shoplifter inside a store.

Arriving officers and made contact with the suspect. A computer check on the suspect revealed two warrants for his arrest.

The suspect was arrested.

Robbery, Assault: 2400 Block of 42nd Avenue, April 3, 9:59 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery.

The victim let the suspect use his cell phone while the suspect was still in his vehicle. When the victim and his wife tried to get the cell phone back, the suspect started driving away at a high rate of speed. The victim and his wife were somehow caught by the vehicle and were dragged a few feet.

Threats: 19th Avenue and Wawona Street, April 5, 4:51 p.m.

The victim told officers the suspect was driving her vehicle recklessly and erratically, almost hitting him.

When the victim told the driver that she almost hit him, the driver threatened the victim and brandished a gun, then drove away.

Battery: 36th Avenue and Kirkham Street, April 7, 9 p.m.

The victim, a ride-share driver, told officers he picked up the suspect and, while driving, the suspect placed him in a headlock.

The victim stopped his vehicle and was able to break free and exit the vehicle. The suspect attempted to get into the driver's seat but was unable.

The suspect then punched and kicked the victim and vandalized his vehicle.

The suspect fled the scene.

Assault, Shoplifting: 3000 Block of Taraval Street, April 14, 2:45 p.m.

The victim was inside a store when he saw a suspect placing numerous store items inside her bag.

The victim stood in front of the store and told the suspect she needed to put down the stolen merchandise and leave the store. When the suspect ignored the victim, the victim grabbed the stolen merchandise. The suspect started hitting the victim.

The suspect was later arrested.

Shoplifting, Outstanding Warrant: 1900 Block of 19th Avenue, April 15, 1:52 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of suspected shoplifting.

The witness, the manager, told the officers a known suspect had come into the store and shoplifted.

The witness showed the officers a photo of the suspect. Officers searched the area, located the suspect and detained him without incident.

A computer check revealed a warrant for the suspect's arrest.

The suspect was arrested.

Shoplifting, Outstanding Warrant: 2000 Block of West Portal Avenue, April 18, 9 a.m.

Plainclothes officers were conducting retail theft abatement when they observed a suspect shoplifting inside a store.

The officers detained the suspect outside the store. A computer check on the suspect revealed a warrant for his arrest.

The suspect was arrested.

Shoplifting with Force, Possession of Stolen Property: 2000 Block of Irving Street, April 19, 8:53 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifting incident.

After speaking to employees, officers located the suspects and detained them without incident.

The employees told the officers they tried to get back their merchandise but one of the suspects pushed past them. Officers also located items that were stolen from another incident by the suspects.

The suspects were arrested.

Accidental Discharge of a Weapon: 2200 Block of 42nd Avenue, April 24, 4:16 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of an accidental shooting.

Arriving officers located the victim with injuries to his legs. An investigation determined it to be accidental.

Burglary: 4700 Block of Lincoln Way, April 26, 9:06 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of a suspect inside someone's home.

The victim told officers that she was the caretaker for the property.

The victim saw the suspect and yelled at him. The suspect left the property with some stolen property.

Officers located the suspect and arrested him.

Battery: 2000 Block of Irving Street, April 28, 6:50 a.m.

The victim told officers he saw the suspect yelling at another person. The victim wanted to make sure the argument would not escalate so he asked if everything was okay. The suspect slapped the victim and then punched him and brandished a knife.

The suspect walked back into his vehicle and drove away.

Robbery: Great Highway and Santiago Street, April 29, 2:11 a.m.

The victim, a ride-share driver, entered Taraval Station to report an attempted robbery incident.

The victim said he was resting when he heard voices outside his vehicle.

The driver's side window suddenly shattered and the victim saw three suspects outside his vehicle demanding his property. One of the suspects was holding a firearm.

Suddenly, all three suspects ran back to their vehicle and drove away.

Assault: Great Highway and Kirkham Street, April 29, 5:13 p.m.

The victim told the officers a known suspect was threatening him with an ax.

While interviewing the victim, the suspect approached the scene.

The suspect was detained. After further investigation, he was arrested.
