I lied about the "simple" part of the equation, but is the question we aim to answer today. It's an interesting one too since one adaptation is more modern (2017) while the other is older (2003). Like my look at A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun, I couldn't help but wonder if either of these are good fits for modern viewers or if the series was too easily remembered through rose-tinted glasses.
