A fantastic supplement t to Winning with People is this 25 Ways to Win with People. both books offer incredible insight onto how to encourage others to know, like, and trust you. After all, isn't that our purpose, to get others to understand our point of view?
Anywho, pulling the concepts discussed from Winning with People, Maxwell and Parrott breaks down the ideas into 25 parts. Both Maxwell and Parrott offer their experience with each part as well as an opportunity for readers to bring it into their own circumstances.
Some parts I've been practicing for a bit while others are new practices for me. I think the most important is to lift others up and encourage them rather than placing ourselves on a pedestal. No one wants to know about me, they want to feel important. So, I encourage them in what they're good at. Recently, a position opened up in my office and even though I applied for it, I knew my coworker is way more qualified than me. So I kept pushing her to apply. After our interviews, she was offered the job! I just knew she'd get it!
I give this book 5 out of 5 tiaras because of its useful tips. I think everyone should read both Winning with People and 25 Ways to Win people! Thanks to a local library for offering this on Libby and Overdrive!
