The Canadian Grand Prix was the 6th Grand Prix in history to feature a double DNF for both Ferrari and Williams, and the first since the 2006 Australian Grand Prix.
Oddly enough, in all 6 races, a McLaren driver finished in 2nd.
Albeit half of them were McLaren 1-2 finishes:
1987 Belgian Grand Prix: Nelson Piquet & Nigel Mansell (Williams) + Michele Alboreto & Gerhard Berger (Ferrari) all DNF, Stefan Johansson finished 2nd to Alain Prost in a McLaren 1-2.
1988 Canadian Grand Prix: Mansell & Riccardo Patrese (Williams) + Alboreto & Berger (Ferrari) all DNF, Prost finished 2nd to Ayrton Senna in a McLaren 1-2.
1988 Detroit Grand Prix: Mansell, Patrese, Alboreto & Berger all DNF again, Prost finished 2nd to Senna in the second McLaren 1-2 in seven days.
1995 Italian Grand Prix: Damon Hill & David Coulthard (Williams) + Berger & Jean Alesi (Ferrari) all DNF (Coulthard, Berger & Alesi all retired after leading the race), Mika Hakkinen finished 2nd to Johnny Herbert's Benetton.
2006 Australian Grand Prix: Mark Webber & Nico Rosberg (Williams) + Michael Schumacher & Felipe Massa (Ferrari) all DNF, Kimi Raikkonen finished 2nd to Fernando Alonso's Renault.
2024 Canadian Grand Prix: Alex Albon & Logan Sargeant (Williams) + Charles LeClerc & Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) all DNF, Lando Norris finished 2nd to Max Verstappen's Red Bull.
