I have some tried and true flowers I plant every year because I know they can withstand our awful heat and humidity--zinnia, mums, marigolds, daylilies, salvia. But I hadn't tried growing the blazing star and I thought it was sooooo pretty, I would see how it did. Plus, I love purple flowers. Several are getting ready to bloom and butterflies love it. This is the first to bloom. It was hiding behind my crepe myrtle. Even though they are supposed to love sun, in our too hot environment, the first to bloom was the one in partial shade.
Grandkids are landing in on me momentarily. We're not supposed to have storms until this afternoon, so we'll go to the pool this morning.
Have a great day!!!
