I grew these from seeds, and I have another couple in different areas. But with our hot, hot, humid, hot Texas heat, they do great in a little bit of shade. I have one that is in a lot of shade now and it's not as profuse, just getting ready to bloom (old one, maybe about 6 years old and the seeds planted before the rosebush grew so big beside it). And another that I planted that is in full sun, that is still working on presenting flowerbuds. I planted the seeds for that one and the other that is pictured above this year. I love how their centers stretch to the sky in little golden mounds and their petals hang down. They're such sweet little flowers. And they don't mind the heat and sun and drought. Though a little shade and watering they welcome at this time of year.
I'm off to get ready for my next adventure. Barely got any writing in yesterday, but added a few descriptive items on Wolf Bound. It's at 85K now.
Have a grand adventurous day!
