This book is written by Peter Mansbridge and a former CBC producer Mark Bulgutch. They shine some light on the inspiring people and professions that keep our nation running—from farmers and First Nations chiefs to air traffic controllers and midwives. These are the people who work tirelessly to connect us to one another and help those in need.
The book features unforgettable stories from across the country. It celebrates how we are greater than the sum of our parts.
There is so much variety in Canada. Canadians are an amazing people. We are extraordinary in a way that the other parts of the world don't understand. Some people even call us ordinary! Well, I beg to differ about that opinion.
I think we have the best writers, the most picturesque landscape, a multiculturalism that's next to none, and nice people. There is so much more acceptance here in Canada too. What a blessing.
I love being Canadian. And after reading this book, I celebrate being Canadian even more.
This is a keepsake book. It is a book you can keep on your coffee table and enjoy.
