We've all heard the saying, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas."
God help me, if only that were true.
Because as it turns out, my surprise gay husband is very much still my husband outside of the great state of Nevada. And let me tell you, as a straight guy, waking up married to a man I barely know with no memory of how it happened wasn't even on my Bingo card.
What started as a fun weekend getaway to support my brothers in their relationships and show them how much I've grown, has somehow spiraled wildly out of my control.
Cooper Allen is rich, kind, and charming, but he's holding all the cards now. Because he doesn't want our marriage annulled. No, he says he wants us to make a deal. He wants me to spend time with him, to move in with him. But why?
All I know is that I'm broke and I can't afford a divorce without his compliance, without his help.
So there's nothing left for me to do but agree and accept my fate.
I'm a straight dude with a husband.
This is my life now.

[I received a digital arc for an honest review]
Suddenly You by Cora Rose is the second book in the Our Exceptions series. Matthew Morris never expected to wake up married in Vegas after his brother marries a man but that is the situation he's found himself in. It doesn't help that Cooper 'Coop' Barone is nothing like he expected to be and he's drawn to him in a way he's never experienced. Cooper is amused when he wakes up married to Matthew and allows the charade to continue longer than he intends after finding out more about his Morris brother. Matthew and Cooper allow themselves some time to get to know each other and what they learn they really like. But with Matthew sticking with his heterosexual identity and questioning his worth, can he and Coop work through their issues and towards a future together.
"And you're not my first choice either, but I think I'll quite like being married to you, Matthew Morris."
Wow! I adored these two together and binged this book in almost one sitting. I couldn't stop laughing when Coop found humor in their crazy situation and his inherent need to care for Matthew. Matthew broke my heart a little with his touch starved lonesome life. The brightness and comfort Coop brings was exactly what he needed. The two have chemistry and when Matthew gives in to needs that have likely always been there the two light up the sheets. Outside of the bedroom Coop and Matthew allow themselves to just enjoy the little things and comfort that can arise from doing nothing together.
With his touches and nicknames and terms of endearment. It makes my heart swell and stutter, and I'm left a blushing mess.
5 stars for Matthew and Coop's unexpected wedded bliss.
