Independent bottler The Heart Cut, purveyor of exclusive one-off bottlings from whisky distilleries across the world, has partnered with the Oregon-based Portland distillery, Westward, for a single cask American Single Malt Whiskey.
The #07 Westward expression boasts an elevated tropic profile, with notes of passionfruit, bitter orange, toasted almonds and rich cacao.
The bottled-in-bond Single Malt has been aged in a New American Oak cask, with only 396 bottles available.

This launch is the seventh in The Heart Cut's ongoing mission to spotlight the breadth of the whisky category, through its single cask and small batch collaborations.
The Heart Cut releases new spirits periodically throughout the year, each carefully selected cask has been chosen in collaboration with the partner distillery.
Intent on stepping away from the jargon and traditional branding often associated with whisky, choosing instead colourful labels with easy to digest cask information.
Located in the American Northwest, an area abundant with barley, Westward's Whiskeys are recognised as balanced and fruit-forward. Aged for a minimum of four years at 50% ABV, the New American Oak cask gifts an elevated tropical character to its fruity base. Producing notes of Juicy Passion Fruit, dried coconut, bitter orange, toasted almonds and cacao nibs.
The Heart Cut co-founders husband and wife duo Fabrizio Leoni and Georgie Bell maintain they always have a bottle of Westward Whiskey always on their home bar.
"This release is the perfect whiskey for summer, with juicy, tropical, citrus notes, it's ideal for sipping neat or pairing with an American Pale Ale," says Bell.
The Westward Distillery bottling is available from The Whisky Exchange, priced £79.95.
