After choking on a hamburger and dying, cynical virgin Delphie is sent back to Earth and given ten days to get a kiss from her soulmate in order to to stay alive, or fail and work for a dating service for the dead...
Filled with hilarity, big emotions, and delicious drama, The Love of My Afterlife is the newest sparkling romantic comedy novel by Kirsty Greenwood.
Follow Delphie on her wild, romantic, romp of an afterlife adventure as she races to save her own life in 10 days!
Blurb:
A recently deceased woman meets "the one" in the afterlife waiting room, scoring a second chance at life (and love!) if she can find him on earth before ten days are up…
If she wasn't dead already, Delphie would be dying of embarrassment. She's entered the afterlife wearing the sort of pyjamas you don't want anyone to see and finds herself face-to-face with the most handsome man she's ever encountered. And he's smiling at her.
As they start to chat, everything else becomes background noise – until someone comes running out of a door, yelling something about a huge mistake, and sends the dreamy stranger back down to earth.
In a twist of fate, Delphie is offered a deal in which she can return to her previous life and reconnect with the mysterious man she's sure is her soulmate.
The challenge? She only has ten days to find him.
Ten days to make him fall for her.
Oh, and he has no recollection of them ever having met…
Note From The Author:
The Love of My Afterlife and will be published by the magnificent Century on June 20th in the UK and Berkley and Penguin Canada on July 2nd in the US and Canada. The Love of My Afterlife also marks my US traditionally published debut - a dream I've held for so long that is now coming true!
To say I'm excited about this novel would be a massive understatement. This book - a story about a woman who gets a second chance at life - gave me a second chance at life too. Spending long summer days scribbling madly about Delphie's hunt across London for the soulmate who could save her, helped pulled me out of a long illness in which I wasn't sure I was capable of ever being happy again. When my writing mojo finally returned it did so with gusto - I had so much to say and endless fun to share via Delphie Bookham and the gang of misfits she meets in London.
Delphie, Merritt, Jonah, Cooper, Mr Yoon, Frida and Aled became my friends, kept me company and made me laugh when not much else could. I love them with my entire heart. I hope they become your friends too. They're keen. Well, not so much Delphie - she might need a bit of warming up.
.It's very much a 'Kirsty Greenwood' book in that it is a bit bonkers, unexpected, steamy, funny and, I hope, full of heart, swoon and joy. If you like my other books I think you'll love this.
The Love of My Afterlife is finally out in the world and available to buy at your local indie bookshop, Waterstones, The Works (Exclusive Ombre Sprayed Edge Edition), WH Smith, Asda (Pink Sprayed Edge Tickled Pink Edition with a portion of proceeds going to Breast Cancer) Sainsbury's, Amazon and Tesco.
I hope this story makes you laugh and cry out loud, feel a big burst of courage to step out of your comfort zone, gives you the horn, makes your heart sparkle and entertains the sweet heck out of you.
