Last week left a lot of tension in quite a few series. Some were resolved now kind of while others are still in the middle of being resolved. I think this is the main result of some shows knowing what they are doing while others are lost in the woods.

Train to the End of the World Episode 10
Alright, last stop before Ikebukuro and this episode was a lot of fun. Not as much chaos, just a lot of playing with anime art styles and genres in a very cool sort of anime tropes and powers. Very happy Akira showed how best girl she actually is. It's also an episode of the girls getting an idea of what is waiting for them in Ikebukuro and how Yoka is seen and controlled. I also liked the opening minutes where Shizuru saw her dad and there was a little bit of familiarity, even if it's strange, before walking into the world of strange again. It hit enough notes to me.
Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf Episode 10
From just pure flirting to placing chess pieces for Lawrence to crawl out of debt by smuggling coins, very powerful episodes. I just have to say that the chemistry between Lawrence and Holo isn't going anywhere actually anytime soon. Especially with Lawrence's good being put into question until it's reaffirmed again. Though we do see how much of a silver tongue Lawrence has convincing Nora to smuggle it with her sheep which means risking her life. Such a slow bit of tension through out. We all know it's going to work, but it is a big deal. So overall, still a good episode for a decent show.
Urusei Yatsura (2022) Season 2 Episode 21
What am I supposed to say? This episode was peak Urusei Yatsura. All from Lum being forced to marry someone from the universe of darkness. I'm glad that she is resisting and everyone is trying to get her back from Rapu. Her parents invading with an army looked impressive until it wasn't. I'm also glad that Benten, Oyuki, Ataru, Ran, and Rei went after her and most of them failed. Ataru had such the biggest heart break from fake Lum siding with Rapu and he didn't know it. So there is some actual hurts going on in this large sci Fi mess. The show is loud, but it's honest about what it is.
Delicious in Dungeon Episode 23
Oh man, the season is ended next week. All while Senshi 's backstory was revealed in it was such a huge tragedy coming from prideful dwarves slowly dying as they hunt for treasure. Also, Senshi not being sure what meat he ate whether it was monster or dwarf meat certainly got heavy just like the show has been. The second half was the crew having their races changed for the time being so they didn't have their usual capabilities in times of danger. Could comedy cane from it, but they learned more about each other too.
Wonderful Precure Episode 19
This episode was so great. It was time for nervous Mayu to shine. Also, we did see the dark force it figure make the hamster Garugaru more powerful. You know, as well as make Nyammy, Wonderful, and Friendly into mini precures. Mayu turning into Lillian and treating the injured hamster after it moved blindly with rage. I'm so glad that all the precures are here now. It took a while, but I'm glad to know all of them.
BARTENDER: Glass of God Episode 10
Very simple and compelling episode this week. A very interesting episode of characters choosing things that will change the course of their lives for forever. Sasakura is placed into a position where he might have to work at the bar at the hotel. A lot of those come from the manager who came before whose possibly going to America until he meets with the doctor again. So there is some struggling until the manager decides to chase fate once again. I don't think Sasakura has really made a choice, but I think he might has settled on something that we will see in the future. So, just a simple kind of empty episode with some big stakes for what the series considers stakes.
Laid-back Camp: Season 3 Episode 10
Such a relaxing episode with cool surprises. Rin is still on her solo camp while running into camps and Nadeshiko is still traveling to see the Sakura trees with her sister. I'm so happy Nadeshiko is getting into trains. The big surprise was Ena running into two future campers while walking Chikuwa and Chiaki having her own solo camp then running into Aoi. Just a good time once again.
Astro Note Episode 10
Yes, the balance between apartment drama and space drama is still really good. Especially since this was Teruko's episode and the Hubby's robot attacking her as well as an idol she started with getting married really made the show examine why she loves to be an idol. She is a 35 year old idol that hasn't broken out yet, but she does it because she loves it. I also love the small feud between Shoin and Takumi, then it turns out that Takumi is teaching Shoin how to cook. At the same time, the show is still digging for where the Wid key is after finally looking at the land back then versus now. It's such a good show, I couldn't recommend it enough.
The Fable Episode 10
This episode was good, but I'm worried about so much of it. Especially with all of plots around Misaki affecting every single corner of people's lives. She kind of has the entire plot wrapped around here as she finally gives into Kojima's wishes of being a call girl for three months. As assassin is going after Kojima and Fable is preparing his non lethal weapons that take a long time to put together. I hope Fable saves Misaki on time.
Jellyfish Can't Swim At Night Episode 10
I admire this show's honesty and how well written it is, but this one was such a mess. Half of the episode was Mei hanging out with an idol and being gay. Like she was useless as a server because she got flustered by a drink name. But it was Mei's awful singing that guy the broken Kano to want to be an idol got Jelee again. Kiui was just the mature one trying to keep everything together while also working and failing. The biggest thing was at just Kano trying to figure out how not to be like her mother. Still was such a mess.
Sound Euphonium Season 3 Episode 9
The larger drama has hit the band and Kumiko is being herself in trying to find answers from Taki, try to navigate band drama, and still face Reina and Shuichi. I think the largest thing she did was return to who she was when she visited Asuka, who Kaori is living with her, who instantly called out Kumiko's habits as in every single one of them. Really do love Kumiko being herself when finally giving her honest apology and feelings about everything. Really hit hard and something will change as a result. Just hope it's winning Kansai. The poor, precious Kumiko bean. See Jellyfish, this is how you do it.
Kaiju No. 8 Episode 9
Very good action episodes as the Kaiju deliberately strike the Japanese Defense Force base. The main highlights are the Kaiju no 10 fight with Hoshina and Kikoru with her giant axe. Kafka was pretty great with giving the forces knowledge on how to fight the Wythern Kaiju , but Kikoru will owned that field as one would expect. She helped rally everyone else. Though the desperation Hoshina is in after showing how strong he is is going to be huge against ten. Just solid action stuff.
Dead Dead Demons Dedede Destruction Episode 2
I am still not completely sure about this episode. I find the b plot of the ship dropping probes on the Earth that get more and more attention. As well as Japan's investigation being left out of what the US is discovering and Japan's first weapon to use against the spaceships. That in itself is fun. The very good friendship between Kadode and Onten is also great, but I don't like how Kadode went after her teacher and he seems very interested in her after she graduates. I also don't like that Onten's brother who is a definitive keyboard warrior is also into Kadode even if its much milder then the teacher. But the show seems to have an awareness about it too, so something to think about going forward as the world ending becomes closer.
