This book is in time for the fall season when the days grow shorter. It's a wonderful reflection on how kids and adults can connect with nature in a real way by exploring it while walking.
I love exploring nature during the autumn seasons too. There is so much hope in the vibrancy of the bright red and golden colors in nature. I can't help but be inspired to take long walks and explore every inch of the landscape, despite the crisp air.
In the fall months, silver-red salmon fight their way up rushing streams as well. They return to the places they were born. Mud flats fill with feeding shorebirds migrating for the winter. And larch and aspen trees change from green to gold.
When Fall Comes celebrates exploring nature during the season when the days grow shorter, the air grows crisper, and wildlife prepares for the winter months ahead.
It is a cozy time too, when we can all huddle by the fireplace and rest, bringing family and friends together.
This book reminded me of all of this. How great!
I have been trying to read as many autumn books as possible during the past few weeks. I even participated in a challenge at my local library that highlighted autumn.
