Artist: Milo in the Doldrums
Song: "Idle Hands"
Album: Milo in the Doldrums
Genre: Indie Rock
Washington D.C.'s Milo in the Doldrums take influence from various 90's sonics in their modern, indie rock sound. Having just released their debut album in April, they are building their following for their upbeat, bouncy brand of music. And with songs like single "Idle Hands", it won't be hard for them to find those fans.
About the track, the band has said:
"...it's about the dangers of young male complacency/nihilism in the modern world."
Important subject matter for sure, highlighted by lyrics like "I woke up last night from a fever dream of going postal". Yet even with the heavy subject matter, the song burst with synthy guitars, new wave keys and big, power pop harmonies.
It's a gem, so check it out in our Check This 2024 Playlist!
