Luckily, Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige stepped in and welcomed the "Merc with a mouth" to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with open arms, allowing him to be exactly as he was intended to be: violent, profane, rude and crude. Deadpool & Wolverine definitely goes all out with its R-rating with enough bloody violence, strong language, gore, and adult humor to ensure that this isn't a film you can take your kids to; hard to believe that we came all this way. Deadpool's entry into the MCU is a major stepping stone I'm terms of both content and quality, as Deadpool & Wolverine is not only the first R-rated MCU film, but also is rumored to save the MCU as a whole. But is Deadpool's shenanigans enough to bring back the waning fan base who have grown tired of countless superhero movies with convoluted plots? We said the same thing about Spider-Man: No Way Home with its multitude of nostalgic cameos and an emotional heft that brought the webslingers arc to full circle, but Deadpool has a self-awareness to it with the many jabs at Disney, the MCU, and superhero movies in general, even Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool as his alter ego, Wade Wilson calls himself "Marvel Jesus" to Matthew Mcfadyen's TVA agent, Mr. Paradox as a way of saying that the MCU needs help. | | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
