Ivar Jorgensen was a Danish author who was born on August 28, 1928, in Copenhagen, Denmark. He grew up in a family of artists and writers, which inspired him to pursue a career in writing. Jorgensen studied literature and philosophy at the University of Copenhagen and later worked as a journalist for various newspapers and magazines. Jorgensen's writing career began in the 1950s when he published his first novel, "The Man Who Wanted to Be a King." He went on to write several other novels, including "The Last Viking," "The Golden Horn," and "The Day of the Comet," which is considered to be his most famous work.
