Geneva-based high-end Hi-Fi maker Goldmund has unveiled the Mimesis Excellence, an audiophile grade digital/analogue stereo preamplifier for well-heeled music lovers with a penchant for high design.
Available in Goldmund's signature grey with a stylish matte black finish, the side panels feature the distinctive wave design to match the rest of the new Goldmund audio collection.
Key to the Mimesis Excellence's performance is the new Themis audio board, a proprietary development wherein both left and right channels have their own dedicated audio card. This distinction minimises noise, for maximum audio clarity.

Each channel is also equipped with a state-of-the-art digital-to-analogue converter. This DAC is capable of decoding up to DSD 512, with the lowest possible jitter in digital signal transmission.
The Themis board also features mechanical shielding to block unwanted electromagnetic emissions that could cause sound distortion. Designed to be modular, the board offers easy maintenance and upgrading.
The Mimesis Excellence also features fully separated left and right digital and analogue power supplies, including customised high-end transformers. The Swiss luxury audio brand is renowned for the precision of its engineering and design.
The tech may be clever, but everyday usability is high, with front panel controls for volume, balance, and other functions.
The Mimesis Excellence retails for £45,000 ($48,000 USD / AUS$81,000).
