Artist: Roman Ark
Song: "I'm Coming Home"

Genre: Folk, Acoustic, Americana
Originally hailing from the Pacific Northwest, but now based in Salt Lake City, Roman Ark finds influence from both classic American songwriters like Bruce Springsteen and Ani DiFranco, and more modern artists like The Lumineers and Noah Kahan, and channels those influences into his personal style of songwriting. Lyrically pulling from his own experiences, a great example of his talent can be heard in his single "I'm Coming Home". In his own words, the song chronicles:
"...during the pandemic I began exploring many different paths, and from that I left the faith and other aspects of my life. My partner chose to stay in it. And for a long time, I had these projections of what I wanted her to do and it made me question if we could truly continue as partners. The song is about the realization that she's on their path and I am on mine and we can still be partners even with our differences. And "I'm Coming Home" to her after almost leaving completely." I am hoping for this song to get more reach and introduce more people to me as an artist."
As he opens the song with "I swore you lost all your faith in me. Cause I lost my faith seeking answers, smoking weed" you already get a sense of who he is and where he is in life. The folksy acoustic arrangement and bluesy harmonica grounds the track in an earthy Americana sound When the hand claps come in on the second chorus, even though it's a simple addition, it builds the power of the track and invites listeners to join in. As a vocalist, Roman Ark delivers lines like "Oh babe I didn't do right, but I'll try, I'll try, I'll try" with a relatable passion that hits.
