Book Description:
From NY Times bestselling author M A Comley, author of the Justice series, who has sold almost five million copies worldwide comes yet another page-turning thriller set in the stunning Lake District.
Success is a double-edged sword, and DI Sam Cobbs is about to experience its deadly side. As she basks in the glow of her accomplishments, her world is shattered by the news that someone dear to her has been viciously stabbed and their life hangs in the balance.
However, all that needs to take a back seat because a new perplexing investigation is about to come her way. The local pathologist believes the brutal crime was staged by a cunning suspect.
Can Sam sift through the clues to find the criminal who gets a thrill from toying with the police?
My Thoughts:
Things are about to become very personal for Sam and I honestly don't know how she finds the strength to carry on with her job. She has a good partner though who is not only a shoulder to cry on but helps keep the team on track when Sam's mind is understandably elsewhere.
The other crimes when they happen, all I will say is they are horrible. I didn't even want to try and put myself in the victims shoes as it was unbearable to think about. It had my head in a spin as to why the criminals were carrying out something so horrific and what they hoped to get out of it. When it becomes clear, let's just say it sent my blood cold!
To Judge Them has a heart-stopping start that sent my emotions into a whirlwind. The author doesn't hang around though before she sends her reader on a thrilling roller coaster of a read that will chill them to the bone. It definitely gave me the shivers at how cold and calculating some people can be. There is a lot of urgency for various reasons to put a stop to what is going on and it left me reeling. This next book in the series definitely packs more than a punch and crime fans will love it!
My Thanks to the author for an advanced readers copy of this book. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.
