And it's done so badly that the movie becomes unbearable to watch in the second half. The ultimate anti-dowry movie was Yeh Aag Kab Bujhegi (1991) directed by Sunil Dutt, and this movie is nowhere close. 2) The entire Bhumi Pednekar sub-plot is cringe-worthy.
