Blurb
Amanda Cox is living in New York with a non-committal boyfriend and a student loan that threatens to crush her. That is, until she enters a raffle for a manor house in the British countryside of Northumberland – and wins...
My Opinion
Following the death of her mother, Amanda is in need of an escape - this comes in the form of winning a raffle. The prize for the raffle just so happens to be a manor in England. This book is told in two different timelines but it is very easy to follow as the timeline set in the past is clearly labelled.
This was an enjoyable, quick read. This is the third book I have read by Kate Forster and I have to say that I love the writing style. A nice, heart-warming read as Amanda learns the real truth about her family.
Rating 4/5
