Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created here at The Broke and the Bookish in June 2010 out of a love of lists. In January of 2018 we decided it was time to close our doors. It was then moved to That Artsy Reader Girl here. It came from a love of lists, books and a desire to bring bookish people together.
Back in January I penned my bookish goals let's see where I'm at. You can read that post here.
- I know that one of those goals was to read more and I've definitely done that having long ago surpassed what I finished on last year. I am currently on 47 books and I had set my Goodreads for the year at 53.
- Read more audiobooks. I have definitely done that although the last few days I've had mad headaches so haven't read anything. Let's see how many I have listened to. Out of my current tears of 47 24 of those were audiobooks. The current audiobook I have on the go is a long one so I haven't got that far as yet.
- Review every book - well this definitely hasn't happened. I do believe I have reviewed most though. I have a few to write…watch this space.
- Classics - now this is a goal I need to make happen. I am in the middle of an Agatha Christie if that counts.
- Beat the backlog - I have read a few that have been sat on my shelf for a while but this still needs some more attention. Another watch this space.
- Donate - back in January when I was on sick leave I took a bunch to the Blackheath book box and I vaguely remember another outing. There are probably more I can donate soon.
- Buddy reading - Now myself and Catriona are planning on Buddy reading the next Heidi Swain and potentially Beth O'Leary too. This could well be another post soon - watch this space.
- Non fiction - I've read 3 this year. This definitely needs to change.
- Reading outside of my comfort zone - now this is one I need to look into further and I'm open to any recommendations. I will say I've read a few more historical books this year and I've loved them. I definitely need to make time to pen my thoughts on a number of books.
I would love to hear from you on my goals and my progress and definitely with recommendations.
