| jacobtheawesome1 Dec 16 | I never thought that I would see the day when a sequel to Chicken Run would be made. I remember seeing the first film 23 years ago in a decently-crowded theater with my mother, and it became one of my favorite animated films since. At the time, I was never aware of Aardman's other works (Wallace & Gromit, Creature Comforts, etc.), but I knew that I saw something truly special. The animation, done with Plasticine clay, felt fresh while maintaining a sense of goofy dignity, and Chicken Run became one of the biggest films of the year: 2000! Just when I thought Aardman's style was waning, the studio crafted a sequel we have been waiting to see, albeit on Netflix. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
