December has finally arrived. While most of you are likely listening to your Spotify Wrapped playlists or holiday tunes, there are still new albums from fantastic artists coming out, and we want to make sure you hear them!

First, the alternative legend Peter Gabriel has his first collection of new music out in decades, and with two fully different mixes of the album. While he's been releasing songs from both versions throughout the year, you can listen to the full Bright-Side Mix in our playlist today. You should also check out the new album from throwback garage rockers The Helltones (read our review of it here), though due to a distribution delay the album hasn't hit streamers as of this posting. It will be added to the list as soon as it's available. There's also a new devil-may-care rock n' roll EP from Sun Room that should not be skipped.

As they gear up to release their next album, Alkaline Trio have dropped the second single from it this week. Ruston Kelly (who made a number of appearances in my Spotify Wrapped) released a new gem, and MGMT showed off another new song from their next one. Felicity continue their push towards punk domination with their new single, while Lil Lotus has recruited pop-punk cult hero Mod Sun for a catchy new bop. Tai Verdes and Skizzy Mars continue to defy genre and boundaries with their new songs, and Lana Del Rey again throwback with a classic cover.

Future Islands still sound solid on their new track, and Mackenzie Shivers' new song will send shivers down your spine. Ex-KISS rocker Ace Frehley shows off his solo bonafides again, while indie giants Real Estate return with a sugary tune. We're also bringing back Telltale, Zach Seabaugh, Kelsey Hickman, Middle Kids, The Bedside Morale and Boy & Bear. And it's never too late to discover some new artists this late in the year, so check out NMF playlist first-timers The Goa Express, Fabled Mind, Magenta Moon, Prism Bitch, The Dream Eaters, Off Lights, Thomas Nicholas Band, The Goodies, Vivas, Jessica Wilde, Sonya Belousova & Giona Ostinelli, Courteous Thief, Marples, Tom Jenkins, milk. and Gab De La Vega.

Listen up to these tunes in our New Music Friday Playlist!
