I'm glad that Sound Euphonium is the last show on my weekly watch cycle the most because has always the one I that the longest to think about. It is the one closest to my entire life and makes me think about it a lot more even if it doesn't appear on here at all. Was thinking about writing a reflection kind of post in the future. We shall see how the goes on the near future.
Also, happy memorial day everyone!

Train to the End of the World Episode 8
This episode was interesting in concept. I wish it was two episodes like the mushroom village though. This episode had a special world based on the after part of an anime the girls know where they villains came back. So clearly, our girls had to take part and save the town so they can continue. It's kind of lame because nothing got any time to breathe. The main idea was that Yoka is the Queen of Ikebukuro. Also, the stops before this one were quick, but got more character from these girls then this one. Call it a failure of an episode for trying to do way more then usual.
Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf Episode 8
This episode was mostly the interesting bit of chemistry between Shepherd Nora, Lawrence, and Holo. It was kind of interesting to watch again from a bit of a jealousy level to Lawrence seeing younger Nora as a possible business opportunity in the future as they travel to town. Enka the sheep dog is best boy by the way. Though the bit of tension when Lawrence and Holo made it to town with their armor and the feeling is wrong. I know what's going to happen, but there was a good bit of tension here that makes it intriguing again.
Urusei Yatsura (2022) Season 2 Episode 19
I'm kind of amazed by how short and simple , but fun couple of shorts pieces. Ten burned that scarf Lum made Ataru and it's such an interesting piece of seeing Lum trying to act angry and Ten learning what an apology is from other people. That second part with the candy forming a heart over people's heads was simply hilarious because the hearts could literally be stolen. Though the ending really did a good job of setting up the last arc.
Delicious in Dungeon Episode 21
A lot of interesting world building and concepts in this episode. I like the appearance of the elves from the West. As well as seeing Kabru's backstory with their involvement and how ruining a dungeon damages and ruins lives. Especially since this dungeon night be closed soon. Also interesting seeing our heroes and their cat being transported to a place run by immortals who just do things out of habit and don't know what taste is. There is some really funny and cute moments from everyone, but Liaos possibly becoming the ruler of the dungeon is pretty wild too. This show is great in general, but good at keeping us on our toes.
Wonderful Precure Episode 17
Oh hey, Yuki was finally revealed to the cast. But it was one that showed how Yuki finally feels about Mayu rescuing her a long time ago. I'm very out of order here because that was after Iroha, Satoru, and Komugi took her on the baby anime around town and having a cool picnic. Yuki was watching the entire time when Mayu tells her story after seeing the white kittens.
Then Mayu got in danger when saving a cute baby duck during the Garugaru attack. That reveal and then Yuki clearly getting angry at the crew for getting Mayu involved when she did it herself. Some pretty intricate characterization going on because I think that Mayu will get her transformation and feelings to Yuki in full in the next episode. But yeah, still just as enjoyable in general.
BARTENDER: Glass of God Episode 8
Sasakura is really being asked to do a lot of things for free, isn't he? This time, simply watching the finale of the mixed cocktail competition where Chen, Yuri, and Kyouko are taking part. It was interesting to see them practice and then show off their abilities for their pretty cool drinks, but Chen breaking down and making the dream drink he wanted to make on the spot even if it failed competition standards.
That was truly the core of the episode and it went alright. The results of this episode where good because he's training to be a bartender still, Yuri won, and Kyouko got the hotel bartender position though the target is still Sasakura. Kind of interesting moves for the owner to make because it does make me so fascinated. Even if the show's writing is pretty and nothing really that amazing.
Laid-back Camp: Season 3 Episode 8
Ena, Aoi, and Chiaki's camping trip has been fully explained to us now through some really fun embellishments. I loved the layer of meta in it because the staff on all sides were just having so much fun. Especially with this episode of amazing camping food and the memory ending by the girls just leaving and the dog just laid back and enjoyed the site to himself by a bit.
Astro Note Episode 8
The weekly comfy insanity, not the loud insanity, is here. It was such a fun episode to just sit back and enjoy. It's a little bit of an examination of Mira who is a princess, but likes to penny pinch for vegetables and lives a very modest life. From Naosuke, we learn a little more because he thinks they should burn the lodge to the ground to find the key faster, but Mira likes giving the others a place to be because she cares about people.
I also like Takumi being the Ataru and just being involved in alien situations now because his plans, as dumb as they are, really do work. Aoi is showing a bit more of herself to people, Ren is following Naosuke because he knows he's not a dog, and the Wid people are still following and capturing the key somewhere too. It really is building in such an interesting direction too.
The Fable Episode 8
Can't say that I am a fan of Misaki being the soul focus of the entire show so far. Though you can kind of see why because she has an interesting past and is such a hard worker. But gangster Kojima wants her about of his girl gang, there is the other person working at her company that also is way into her and will possibly black mail her in the future, and so many other things. The poor woman and this will eventually cause Kojima and Sato to meet up and come to blows eventually.
Jellyfish Can't Swim At Night Episode 8
This felt like the best episode of this so far because it was back to Jelee doesn't it's Jelee thing. You know, creating a song and selling their brand online. This was also the time where Kano's identity as the singer in Jelee was revealed to the world so there was also some doubt about how the public would react. So it was kind of awesome live stream concert with music and art being produced online on a screen.
Kind of amazing because it was a good spectacle and a good compromise. The negativity did make its way through because apparently Kano is a violent idol, but the Jelee fans were there in number. I think the ending with Kano's mother (?) called Mahiru to commission art for her idol group was an interesting tag to end it on.
Sound Euphonium Season 3 Episode 7
The auditions are back now that the girls are in band camp and the is an episode where I feel like everyone knew the conclusion. It was the Mayu vs Kumiko soli episode where there is so much tension between the two where Kumiko had to share why the band is like it is from the Kaori vs Reina competition in the first season. Kumiko and Mayu are both playing in the competition, but Mayu got the Soli. Taki was very strict this time and it's going to be interesting to see if Kumiko still believes in her ideals now that the situation has happened to her. Also, Kanade not making the cut hurt more then I thought it would.
Kaiju No. 8 Episode 7
This episode is the full appearance of Kaiju No. 9 in the middle of a larger combat scene. It was a good set up to Kafka/Kaiju No. 8 appearing there. The show really put a lot of work in showing the short amount of growth Ichikawa and Iharu went on during their training to at least damage or threaten Kaiju No. 9. Though the quick battle between 8 and 9 was pretty hype. Also, definitely looking forward to seeing how this anime resolves this conflict because it is a very complicated one.
