The Sunshine Sisters: Blossom by Rosie Green @Rosie_Green88 @rararesources

By Sarah Hardy on July 14, 2024

Book Description:

Blossom Sunshine's life is anything but boring right now. She's determined to finally solve the mystery of who her biological father is – despite Mum Ada putting a spanner in the works. What is Ada trying to hide? Meanwhile, best friend Billy is doing his best to impress Jenna. This means cutting back on the cakes and carbs that he loves, but Jenna's worth it. Isn't she?
And then there's Blossom's own love life, which has been a catalogue of disasters up till now – but that was before she met Trevor. He's not her usual type but she thinks maybe that's a good thing? Could this be real love at long last?
One thing's for certain – the path to her achieving her heart's desire looks anything but smooth!

My Thoughts:

This is third in a trilogy featuring the Sunshine Sisters and this time it focuses on Blossom, the youngest of the trio.

The one thing that comes across in these books is that the path of true love is never an easy one. Blossom hasn't had the greatest of times when it comes to her love life but finally she thinks she has met the one in Trevor. Whilst she finally seems to have sorted her love life out, she sadly doesn't seem to be having as much luck in finding out the truth about her father. I have to admit I had worked out part of this thread very early on but there were other things I hadn't seen coming. It seems to be tearing the Sunshine family apart and I could wholly sympathise with poor Blossom who has been kept in the dark all these years.

The Sunshine Sisters: Blossom was a fitting ending to the trilogy of which I have loved getting to know all of the sisters and seeing their troubles being resolved as well as them finding happiness. It gives you a warm glow and I just adore the surroundings and familiar characters that I have come to know so well. It's the characters that make the story and the author does it so well. A delightful and uplifting read!

My thanks to Rachel's Random Resources for inviting me to be part of the tour. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.

Rosie Green has been scribbling stories ever since she was little. Back then they were rip-roaring adventure tales with a young heroine in perilous danger of falling off a cliff or being tied up by 'the baddies'. Thankfully, Rosie has moved on somewhat, and now much prefers to write romantic comedies that melt your heart and make you smile, with really not much perilous danger involved at all, unless you count the heroine losing her heart in love.

Rosie's brand new series of novellas is centred on life in a village café. The first two stories in the series are: Spring at The Little Duck Pond Cafe and Summer at The Little Duck Pond Café.
