When the two met and bonded over shared music taste, it wasn't a surprise that they would begin writing music together. The result was Idiota, and their self-titled EP. Tracks like the swooning "Lady Bird" show their excellent indie rock craftsmanship. With crooning vocals and noodley guitar hooks, the band echo elements of new wave as well as early 2000's garage band revival artists. The song has a subtle bounce and a haunting synth line that leads into a heavier bridge that channels modern bubble grunge.
