This is an amazing picture book for kids written by Professor Hawking and his daughter, Lucy Hawking.
This is a book that will transport the young reader into the Professor Hawking's world. The universe is a big place, full of big questions, and every one of them starts with curiosity. I believe that's one thing that we're missing a lot of the time from our current cultural times. Curiosity is in low supply now, especially in this technologically-driven world.
Professor Hawking has unraveled many mysteries of the universe. But he still had many questions. It is these questions that can lead all of us into unknown realms that beam with brilliance and majesty.
Questions such as how can we take care of the planet, howe can we learn to be there for one another, and how can we best experience the wonders of the universe are all examined in this wonderful book.
The illustrations bring the themes home. They are playful and colorful, making this a book that kids and parents will want to read and re-read.
The last few pages of the book include a few important questions that Professor Hawking asked during his life, such as what's inside a black hole, how many stars are there, how big is the universe, is time travel possible, and do aliens exist.
I loved the book. I too felt transported into Professor Hawkings world. I'm sure the reader will experience a similar experience of wonder and awe.
